Outdoor Youth Event
Today I went to an outdoor youth event at the city lake. My best friend and I messed around on the rock piles while we waited for the event to begin. Finally, the event started and we headed to our first station: Archery. Archery is my best way of hunting, I have shot guns before, but I'm best at a bow. The first round, I wasn't very good because they gave me a bow that was not only too heavy for me, but it was a right handed bow. The second time around, I shot the life-size animal target in the leg, and twice in the shoulder. Of course, my friend nailed the target in the tail end. The horn sounded, and we moved to the first shotgun station. The boys hogged it at first, then we finally got a chance. I shot two of the clay pigeons that was launched. We moved to the second shotgun station and my friend and I didn't hit any pigeons. After that, we went to pellet rifles. We loaded and shot the tiny clay targets that where set on straw bales. At the end, there was a drawing where I got some targets for later. This was a fun experience for me, and I recommend it to all little kids who want to hunt.

My Baby Rocket
I am in Rocketry in 4-H, so I decided to make a rocket. The first one wasn't able to be shown in the fair, the second, that my mom's class made, was shot once. When we did shoot it off, it was dark outside. We shot the mini-rocket, and we don't think it every came down. A month or two later, my mom took me to Hobby Lobby to look for a rocket. There, we found the cutest little rocket I've ever seen in my life. It took a lot of plastic cement to make the baby rocket, but it's awesome.

Rocketry!
Today (January 20th) I shot off my rocket. It went higher than I thought it would, and it curved too much for me. I'm angry at the wind for this. Well,it didn't burn up, so I'm happy

Dog Obedience, Day 1
Last June, my mom got me a little Jack Russel Terrier puppy for 4-H. I have learned that I need to be able to teach my dog who is the Alpha dog, me. So far she has learned sit, watch me, and she has sort of learned heel.

Livestock Judging
Today I went to Lawrence Kansas to go to a livestock judging thing for 4-H. At first I was nervous about going, but after I got there I felt a bit better. Livestock judging is a bit harder than it sounds like. You have to judge four to twelve different animals, normally they are sheep, cattle, or hogs. The judge(s) have a card and they take notes about the animals and then compare them. They then order the animals and hand in their card.
